I originally met Melanie Eberhardt via her “day job” at Realm Advertising in Georgia when I worked on a holiday card for one of Realm’s clients. But she’s also a painter and illustrator in her own right, with a fluid, colorful, very unique style. She’s worked on lots of commissions for commercial clients and had many gallery shows. I was so excited when Melanie told me she’s starting a new section of her blog called My Art Peeps, where she’ll feature interviews with artsy friends, and when she asked me to be one of the first interviews! It was a pleasure answering her questions, and in fact it made me think more about why I love being an illustrator and why I draw the way I do. Head over to Melanie’s site and check it out — there’s my interview but also interviews with lots of other talented people who may inspire you!
Today you can check out an interview I did with Chantal of Chantal Loves Vintage! Chantal lives in Sherbourne, England and keeps a great blog about vintage finds, Etsy artisans and other fun stuff. We met via Etsy, and she has her own Etsy shop full of colorful vintage goods. Doing this interview was really fun, and as a part of it we’re doing a drawing where one lucky winner will receive my You’re So Foxy print for free! So hurry on over to Chantal’s blog and check it out!
